This 3 hour training seminar will provide you with everything you need to know about dashboards and teach you how to build bespoke dashboard views for your agency. Dashboards are a new business analytics tool for i2 and are only available from version 2.13 upwards. They are a visual display of consolidated numbers, metrics and KPIs which aim to help your agency staff make quick and informed business decisions.

  • Please be aware you will need to bring your own laptop to this training.
  • The event is capped at 6 people per session. There will be 1 trainer to 3 attendees to ensure enough help is on hand when you begin to make your own dashboards in the practical 2nd half.
  • Bookings for this event will close one week prior to the event date to allow our technical team to set up individual logins to the test data in time for your session - please book onto this session as early as possible to avoid any disappointment.

If you want to know how to configure bespoke graphs, charts and counts in i2 - then this seminar is for you.  Dashboard functionality is brand new from v 2.13 upwards and this session is a great introduction if you want to know how to set up dashboard views for yourself, your team or the entire agency.

This graphical element also appears in other areas of i2 too, the latest being v 2.14 which features the new 'Job Tracker' tool, where you can create a dashboard for each individual job. The same dashboard logic applies and this course will provide you with the knowledge needed to configure both dashboards for the job and for the agency.

 Who should attend this seminar?

This course requires participants to have a working knowledge of how browsers work and is suitable for both Finance and Account Handlers/ Project Managers. Please be aware that dashboards are only available from i2 v 2.13 upwards, therefore, if you have recently upgraded or are thinking about upgrading then it is an ideal opportunity to familiarise yourself with this new functionality. 

What's on the Agenda?

The first half of this seminar covers all the theory needed to plan your Dashboard. The second half puts what you have learnt into practice and encourages you to have a go at making your own dashboard views under the supervision of our Paprika experts.

1st half:

  • What are dashboards and how do they work?
  • Graphs, counts and browsers – what are the possibilities?
  • The principles of building bespoke dashboard views– what you need to know
  • Top tips – learn the necessary logic behind building and maintaining a tidy dashboard
  • Global, Group & My View – how to plan dashboard views that work for everyone at your agency
  • Job Tracker: 2.14 programs with customisable graphs (released April 2017)

2nd half:

  • Practical - create your own graphs and practice what you have learnt with help from our experts
  • Import Benjamin's dashboard views using 'View Maintenance'
  • 2.13/ 2.14 Q&A time

Who are the course leaders?

Benjamin Baker, part of the Client Engagement team, will be leading the session. This course has been designed by Benjamin in response to the new dashboard functionality released in October. Benjamin is our dashboards expert and previously ran this event in January alongside Nick Tomlinson, Paprika’s MD and founder. Together, they created numerous graphs, charts and counts to show you what is possible and get you thinking about what your agency dashboards could look like. Ben now heads up this course with fellow Client Engagement Consultant, India Quow. 

What do I need to bring with me?

This is an interactive group session using i2 v 2.14 test data. You will need to bring your laptops with you. The second half of this session will be dedicated to creating your own dashboard views with our Paprika experts on hand to help. Our technical team will need to set up test data for each attendee and provide a web link prior to this session - so it is important to book onto this seminar allowing time to arrange this.

We encourage you to make notes throughout with the course materials provided. You will receive a training manual which covers all of the examples discussed throughout the 1st half of the seminar, screenshots of all of Benjamin's example dashboards and a copy of his dashboard views which you can import onto your Paprika database via 'View Maintenance' - we will show you how to do this.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the session.
